MobiMed is tasked with the management of valuable health information provided by its users, and hence, ensuring that this data is properly managed is of utmost importance to us as a Medical Institution. We make it a point to ensure that all data collected serve a specific purpose that in the long run will aid in providing the best experience for our users. Our privacy policy is outlined below.

Information we Collect

Registration Information

During Registration, users will be required to provide the following information

·        Name (First Name and Last Name)

·        Date of Birth

·        Gender

·        Nationality & Country of Residence

·        Phone Number

·        Password

Service Request Information

During the order requests, information about the medication to be purchased will be needed. This information can only be provided through a valid medical prescription. A picture of the prescription will be needed along with medical insurance information (Insurance ID) if available. Delivery address will also be requested.

Medical Information

Within the app, users will be encouraged to answer specific questions about their health. This is not mandatory, but will help ensure that proper guidance is provided by medical staff to the user on if, how and when specific medications should be taken/used.

Analytics information

We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Service, the information collected, will assist us in improving the Service. Data is collected and presented collectively and cannot be used to identify a single User.


Device Identification

During the use of the Service, certain information about your device such as the device make, model and unique identifiers from your hardware will be collected to help identify your device.



How we use your information

In addition to some of the specific uses of information we describe in this Privacy Policy, we may use information that we receive to:

a.      Help ensure that users that register are within a certain age bracket

b.      Match the names of users to the names on prescriptions provided

c.      Ensure that all orders are processed based on valid medical prescriptions by a known institution

d.      Determine whether a user qualifies for medical insurance and to determine the level of cover for specific drugs.

e.      Identify the location to which drugs will be delivered.

f.       Uniquely identify users the make use of the service

g.      Develop and test new products and features

h.      Automatically make updates to the MobiMed application on your device

i.        Notify you of service updates and additional services provided by the service

j.        Provide personalized content to users


Sharing your Information

Information collected will under no circumstance be shared, rented or sold with any party outside of MobiMed (or the group of companies of which MobiMed is a part) without the consent of the user, except as noted in this Policy.


Assignment, Change Of Control, And Transfer

All of our rights and obligations under our Privacy Policy are freely assignable by us to any of our affiliates, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise, and we may transfer your information to any of our affiliates, successor entities, or new owner.


How we store your information

Your information collected through the Service may be stored and processed in Ghana or any other country in which MobiMed, its Affiliates or Service Providers maintain facilities.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to help keep the information collected through the Service secure and take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password and linking password reset requests to your personal phone number) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. However, MobiMed cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to MobiMed or guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
